These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) apply to your use of the website at https://aegissecurity.dev (the “Site”). The Site is operated by CloudMatos LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as Aegis Security (“Aegis,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you use the Site on behalf of an organization, you agree to them for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. The Site and the Aegis platform
These Terms cover the Site only. Your organization's use of the Aegis platform, including the SaaS service, on-prem appliance, SDK, browser extension and endpoint agent, and any demo, free agent assessment, trial or pilot, is governed by a separate written agreement between your organization and Aegis, such as an order form, subscription agreement or assessment authorization. If that agreement conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls. Software you download from a third-party registry, such as the aegislib package on PyPI, is governed by the license that accompanies it.
2. Information on the Site
The Site describes Aegis and its capabilities for general information. Examples on the Site, including decision streams, findings, policies, agent names and access changes, are illustrative unless stated otherwise. Performance figures are shown with the date and conditions under which they were measured. Product features, coverage and limits may change. Nothing on the Site is a commitment, warranty or professional advice; commitments are made only in a signed agreement.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Site in violation of any law or regulation;
- Access, probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Site or any system behind it, except as described in Section 4;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site, including by overloading it or introducing malicious code;
- Use bots, scrapers or other automated means to collect content from the Site, except search engines that follow our robots.txt;
- Submit false information, impersonate any person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation; or
- Copy, modify or distribute Site content except as allowed in Section 5.
4. Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a vulnerability in the Site or in an Aegis product, report it to security@aegissecurity.dev (see also /.well-known/security.txt). When researching, do not access, change or delete data that is not yours, do not degrade the Site for other users, and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before you disclose it. We review every good-faith report.
5. Intellectual property
The Site and its content, including text, graphics, diagrams, code samples and the Aegis name and logo, are owned by Aegis or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages of the Site for your own use in evaluating Aegis. No other right or license is granted.
6. Customer and third-party names
Customer names and logos appear on the Site with permission. Other company and product names, such as the clouds, SaaS apps, AI providers, frameworks and standards the Site refers to, are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify those products. Their appearance does not imply endorsement of Aegis by, or affiliation with, their owners.
7. Information you send us
Information you submit through the Site, such as a demo or assessment request, is handled under our Privacy Policy. Do not send confidential information through Site forms; confidential information is exchanged under a non-disclosure agreement. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without obligation to you.
8. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party websites and services. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, policies or practices.
9. Disclaimer
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aegis disclaims all warranties relating to the Site, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and accuracy, and does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aegis will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Site. Aegis's total liability for all claims relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100). This section does not limit liability under a separate written agreement for the Aegis platform, which is governed by that agreement.
11. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Aegis against claims, losses and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site.
12. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Alameda County, California have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to the Site or these Terms, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
14. General
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Aegis about the Site.
